| Price guide for Hall by Jo Cunningham Published in 1982 as a companion for her Autumn Leaf Story. (she will be speaking at the Hall convention this April 2002.) The new books have more information and updated prices but this one
has some details I have only read here. The mahogany and citron GE style pieces were made by Hall for Edwin M. Knowles China Company for GE. A utility set was also made for Knowles in pig-skin glaze (a dull matt dark buff) - HAS anyone seen this utility ware?? A picture from a 1941 wholesale catalog of the yellow King set with the roaster. (same picture as the last picture here) A 1938 wholesale catalog shows the Westinghouse Food Crafter mixer with Hall Bowls. See picture here |
A picture of a Graniton candlestick is also shown! AND lots of other little details too! So much fun to read this early research. |

"Now if you really enjoy confusion, did you know a cup is not a cup in measuring teapots? In other words, if you measure your teapot and it holds 16 ounces you would assume that you have a 2 cup teapot. Right? Wrong, so very wrong! More than likely your 16 oz. teapot is probably a 3 cup." Cunningham Here are Teapot Cup VS OZ sizes she lists French 1C=6 oz., 1 1/2C=10 oz., 2 C=14 oz., 3 C=18 oz., 4C=22 oz., 6C=32 oz., 8 C= 40 oz., 12C=60 oz. French and Boston cup sizes are NOT the same!!!!!

My new water server for my kitchen. Yes it is actually a coffee but I use it as my water cooler. It holds nearly 1 1/2 gallons. |
