Westinghouse's covered "Ridged" and "Plain" baker and casserole (made by Hall China) actually came with Westinghouse Roasters. I am coining the name "Roasterware" for them so they are no longer referred to as "Refrigeratorware" since they came with Roasters.
Montgomery Ward Large white rectangular leftover shown in Whitmeyer's book is actually a casserole that came with a Montgomery Ward Roaster. Bill Rist shared his pictures of a decorated Montgomery Ward casserole with me.
Make sure you also check out the Brochure Page (use your browsers back button to return here) to see the booklet from a Westinghouse roaster.

Plain / Queen Westinghouse covered roasters are a commonly found Hall item. I was pleased to discover their original use. They were part of a set of an electric roaster. The set consists of one open baker and two covered bakers. "The book included clearly shows the Hall Westinghouse bakers and how to use them with your roaster. It even gives you an order form in the back for replacement pieces. The accent color on the roaster is an exact match to the bakers. There is an extra lid in this picture."

Cyndee sent me this picture of a roaster in the common canary yellow but often not found in a metal carrier. The metal carriers come in several styles. The handles come in several colors.
Ridged/King Open Baker shown here with metal carrier. I have also seen other styles of metal carriers for various Westinghouse baker items. |
