"Hall devised more colors than any other American china company and probably more than most combined. Often they were colors that would have been difficult or impossible for other companies to achieve; in fact, Hall sometimes did glazing work for other well-known china firms." Harvey Duke

I hope these web pages and color charts will help the Hall collectors identify the color of pieces in their collection.

DO THIS FIRST!
To get the best results from these color charts start by turning your monitor to full bright and full contrast. Your computer video settings must be set
higher than 256 colors.

After viewing the colors at full bright - you can adjust the brightness and contrast on your monitor so a color you have already identified and know to be correct looks about right - the rest of the colors should then be close enough to true to give you a good guess. Remember these charts shows only an approximation of some of the colors!

I just found this great website for adjusting your monitor colors.  If your monitor colors meet their guidelines the colors on the color charts should be close - http://www.fabricdirect.com/html/calibration.html
